Today I’m writing in italics, cool.
I’ve had an idea about creating pages about SEO’s who are really proud of certain work that they have done. As Chris said a bit like an SEO Myspace… I’m not 100% sure what I’m after but I want to create personal pages where people can talk about whatever they enjoyed/were proud of/fucked up, whatever as long as it’s to do with SEO and they provide links out to their examples.
What sort of information would it need?
- Image (preferably you)
- Name
- Job role (actually is this necessary?)
- Twitter account
- Personal site
- Blurb about what it is that you have done that was so cool/shit etc
- Maybe some stuff on where SEO is going, your personal goals for the future or some other shit.
What do you think?
Like An SEO Myspace...,
Like an SEO Behance?!
A collaboration function would be cool – like crowdsource other SEO’s opinions and ask for advice on specific problems/techniques etc…
1 – Yes. I want to give people the opportunity to put their best work somewhere. I don’t give a shit about people linking out but the work has to be good enough for me to like it and other people not to laugh at it.
2 – That will be coming later.
Yes I like the idea Sean. I think that real life examples of SEO campaigns that worked are few and far between. Most often you hear about the same 5 examples again and again.
I also think it would be interesting to allow people to publish failed campaigns – they can put the reasons they think why something failed so others get insight, but also other people could comment and suggest improvements for the future.
Cheers for the input man. I think it would be cool for people to have a platform to show off a bit. Personally I can’t see too many people admitting to failed campaigns but I’d like to see those as well if possible.
Even if the idea doesn’t come to fruition on here I still think it’s a decent idea to do somewhere.
Will the external hyperlinks from the pages have no-follow tags? 😉
Haha, I’m not that petty 🙂
I want to think of it as a SEO version of Zoosk
Haha, no problem!
