Recently I’ve been pissing about with IFTTT to make recipes that allow you to do stuff that is enjoyable but totally unnecessary.
So what have I been doing? Glad you asked:
- I’ve made a recipe that adds all my Twitter favourites to Delicious. Pointless!
- I’ve made a recipe that emails me once a week to check out my Delicious bookmarks. Ridiculous!
- I’ve made a recipe that creates posts on Tumblr every time someone tweets about https://01100111011001010110010101101011.co.uk which you can find > http://01100111011001010110010101101011.tumblr.com/ Brilliant!
I’m thinking about doing something similar for a few clients as they always love to see positive stuff 🙂
Have you guys done anything interesting/fun/useful with IFTTT?
IFTTT > Twitter > Tumblr,
I’d just like to thank you for redrawing my attention to this. the first time I looked at it I totally couldn’t be arsed thinking about what to do with it.
Today I created a load of new recipes and I’ll let you know how they work, if at all.
No worries man. They are good for organisation but don’t really offer anything too exciting.
Would like to hear what you put together, give me a shout.
I love IFTTT. About 3 months ago I set it up to auto post Rebecca Black – Friday to my facebook wall every Friday at 5pm.
Thankfully I dont use facebook much, but I’m told that it’s become slightly annoying…
MUHAHAHAAAA!
Haha, great work Andrew! Twotterspammer and I used to play it every Friday afternoon at our old job #greatdays
was it something you said Sean?
Twitter has only gone and shafted IFTTT and the rest of us in the process.
read about it on my MySpace…
I do tend to have that effect. Shame.
